And that's why becoming an official partner of the ISSA nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason was a no-brainer. Through this partnership, we provide free cleanings for cancer patients. Cleaning for a Reason helps us find and pair up with people who are undergoing cancer treatment, so that we can have the amazing opportunity to help them during their time of need.
Our why:
All of us have been affected by cancer in some way. Holly's grandmother passed away at only 69 years young from lung cancer. Though time has made it more bearable, her family grieves decades later. Laura's grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer and we thank God every day for her successful single mastectomy. Though she won her battle, it was still a difficult time for her family. They both couldn't imagine trying to keep the house clean amidst treatment and all of the chaos that ensues after a cancer diagnosis. This is why we're so passionate about helping cancer patients lift the burden of doing the chores off their shoulders.
How it works:
If you or someone in your household is undergoing cancer treatment, you can apply for help on the Cleaning for a Reason website. Once approved, we will contact you to schedule. You will receive two cleanings once monthly for two consecutive months (up to four labor hours each).
